Der Fischmarkt liegt in der historischen Kölner Altstadt. Ganz in der Nähe liegt auch die romanische Kirche Groß St. Martin.
Schon im 12. Jahrhundert wird der Fischmarkt erstmals als „forum piscium“ (Fischmarkt) urkundlich erwähnt.
Das Weinhaus „Stapelhäuschen“ ist ein „Juwel“ der Kölner Altstadt, in dem sich heute ein Hotel befindet, welches gerne von den Touristen die nach Köln kommen gebucht wird.
