In der Nähe vom Siebertsturm seht das Wahrzeichen von Rothenburg, das „Plönlein“, heißt übersetzt „Kleiner Platz“ oder „Kleiner Platz am Brunnen“ und bezeichnet die Lage mit dem schiefen gelben Fachwerkhaus in der Mitte.
Das Plönlein ist das beliebteste und wohl bekannteste Fotomotiv von Rothenburg und stellt für viele das typische Rothenburger Altstadtmotiv dar, welches weltweit bekannt ist.
